Here are some of the most frequently asked questions.

We do not have a physical show room; however, we will be announcing “Pop Up Engagements” where the costumes can be viewed physically.  Our costumes can also be viewed via our online galleries at www.yardmascarnival.com and our social pages @yardmascarnival.

For Registration, you will need:

Size Information

  • Ladies: bra size
  • Ladies: bottom piece option (thong or full panty) and size
  • Men: T-Shirt size/Waist Size
  • An accepted visa debit or credit card

Masqueraders are urged to only order through the Yard Mas Carnival Website or via a Yard Mas Marketer.

Your deposit must be paid upon registration. If a deposit is not paid; your order will be deemed incomplete and immediately cancelled. Costumes must be paid in full by February 28, 2024.

All costumes can be ordered as a body wear only, however costumes may have options for headpieces, backpacks and other embellishments at an additional cost. These options will be detailed on the registration page and in the costume photo gallery with the respective costs.

Registration is based on availability of costumes and so it is advised that masqueraders register as early as possible before your costume choice is sold out.

We currently do not offer a cash option for payment. However, we have subsidized the online fees for our masqueraders’ benefit.

Masqueraders are able to add upgrades after registration based on the availability of those upgrades.

Distribution is usually done in what is dubbed “carnival week” (5 days before carnival day). Our Distribution begins on April 1, 2024. All masqueraders will receive a costume distribution schedule via email and the schedule will be posted on our website and our social media pages. Masqueraders will need to bring an identification card (Driver’s License, Passport, National ID) to collect their costume. Costumes must be paid in full before the costume is released to the collector. Upon collection; the collector of the costume must sign the official Yard Mas Carnival release document.

The final day of Distribution is Carnival Friday (April 5, 2024). If a masquerader has not collected their costume by April 5 at 6:00 p.m. and has not notified the band via our official email address or through a Marketer or Ambassador that they have intentions to collect; the costume will become available for resale.

You are able to collect your costume on any day after your designated day. However, priority will be given to persons who are collecting on their designated day. All costumes must be collected by April 5 or they will be eligible for resale.

Masqueraders can authorize someone to collect their costume on their behalf. However, that authorization must be sent via our official email address and must include the person’s name and they must take a photo ID with them.

Deposits for costumes are non-refundable. However, if you have indicated via our official email address that you are unable to come to Carnival in Jamaica; we can assist you to have your costume sold.

Masqueraders will receive their costume package, a Yard Mas Goodie Bag filled with Road essentials, your armband to access the full Yard Mas Experience (lunch, dinner, alcohol inclusive road experience) and female masqueraders will receive stockings.

 

NB: Masqueraders who are not wearing their wristbands will be removed from the band.

Unfortunately, we do not have a waiting list option. However, uncollected costumes will be re-sold on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Distribution Location.
